Growing up, Jill’s favorite part of dinnertime was when her mother read tips from Emily Post’s Etiquette book.
As her children grew up, Jill enjoyed working with young people as a classroom volunteer, room mother, and Girl Scout leader. Jill’s desire to continue working with young people, combined with her lifelong love of etiquette, led her to attend training at The Etiquette and Leadership Institute in Athens, Georgia. At the Etiquette and Leadership Institute, where Jill earned certification as a Children’s Etiquette Consultant, she developed skills and techniques designed to inspire and engage children as they learn social etiquette, dining etiquette, and social dance.
Jill is thrilled to introduce Diablo Valley Cotillion to our community. Skills learned in cotillion class will have lifelong benefits. Leadership qualities of social grace, empathy, poise, and confidence will enhance future endeavors in all aspects of children’s lives.
In addition to presenting the Diablo Valley Cotillion, Jill offers classes for children, teens, and young adults. Class offerings include single day classes for Girl Scout/Boy Scout patches, Mother & Daughter Tea Etiquette, multiple-week class series on social etiquette and/or dining etiquette, Dining Out tutorial at a local restaurant, After School Enrichment programs, Prom Etiquette, and private lessons with families in their home. Jill will be happy to create custom classes as requested.
Jill invites you to visit the website of Jill Pfeiffer Etiquette School for information and registration for available classes.
